Request for Applications
With generous support from Bryan Medical, the Aerodigestive Society is fortunate to offer two up to $10,000 research grants to fund exceptional research proposals with an impact on the understanding of aerodigestive disorders, evaluation, treatment, and/or care delivery for this patient population. The grant may fund a pilot study or augment an existing project.
All projects must be significantly related to Aerodigestive disorders. The applicant can be any practitioner or scientist focused on Aerodigestive disorders. The project proposed must be feasible and completed within 18 months.
These are the current priority lines of inquiry for the society:
- What data are meaningful in classifying, diagnosing, and managing dysphagia as it relates to aerodigestive dysfunction, including minor laryngeal clefts?
- How does the Aerodigestive Team model add value to patient care—as a whole, and as a sum of individual parts?
- What is significant in diagnosing and managing chronic laryngeal inflammation (the ‘active larynx’)?
- Issues related to esophageal atresia/tracheoesophageal fistula research.
